New PPE becomes mandatory in light of the upcoming Covid19 antibody test.
New personal protective equipment will become mandatory for the forestry industry the Health and Safety Executive has announced. Chief Executive of the HSE Martin Temple, has said that the new PPE will ensure that safe working distances are kept between those with the Covid19 antibody and those still susceptible. High visibility orange will be changing to bright pink for those immune to the virus. The new protective clothing will come into force on 1 May 2020. Millions of foresters and forestry workers are now facing a race against time to equip themselves for the new standard.
