As the reputation of Say It With Wood has grown, Toby and Aly have welcomed some additions to the family to allow them to supply and install the highest quality chestnut fencing and gates, garden products, alongside forestry services and even the occasional compost toilet! Each member of the team was handpicked by the couple for their skills, attention to detail and knowledge of their craft.
Toby
Co-owner and founder of Say it with Wood. Started his fencing career in Cornwall in the mid-90s, and started producing fencing from the Sweet Chestnut he’d coppiced in 2001. On a good day considers himself to have the luckiest job in the world.
Aly
Co-owner of Say it with Wood, and runs The Grainstore operation. Aly has a passion for sustainability and producing products with good ecological credentials.
David
First point of contact for customer enquiries. David will advise you on our product range and prices, and guide you through the ordering process. Any questions, give him a call!
Bryce
Bryce leads the workshop and bench department. He has been an enthusiastic green woodworker for many years and loves the opportunities that working with natural products brings.
Jane
Administrator for Say it with Wood, Jane, now works part-time. She pays the bills, updates the website, handles advertising and special projects.
Ben
Forestry operations. Drives the forwarder and operates the sawmill.
Emilia
Emelia is our cleaving queen and head of the paling department (we don’t keep her in a cage – this is some high paling she was making!)
Aron
Aron works in the benchwork department and is also adept at milling and making all our square timber range.
Ryan
Ryan is based at the yard and is qualified and experienced at making our entire range of fencing products. He also carves beautiful spoons in his spare time.
Rob
Say it with Wood’s longest-serving employee. Rob runs a music festival (nozstock.com). and helps with our installations and ground work.
