Having written three books on the subject , Mike is acknowledged by many as the leader in the field of green wood chair making in the UK. Having reached retirement age, Mike has moved his chair-making courses from the woodland back to the workshop in his cottage garden.

Hannah set up her landscape design business twenty years ago, she has a passion for creating beautiful gardens that are sustainable and wildlife friendly.

Hannah holds a degree in Landscape Design, Diploma qualifications in amenity horticulture and grade 2 Braille and she is a Chelsea medal winner.

Jenny makes individual handmade pieces for the home and garden. She aims to reduce the environmental impact of her work wherever possible, using Say it With Wood to provide her timber.
Paul and Jo manage their own woodland for conservation, and run greenwood courses. They are building sheds from the wood extracted from their woodland and plan to build a low impact house.
Caves Folly Nurseries is a gardeners paradise. All their plants are grown in organic, peat free compost.
Fred’s Yurts offer luxury furnished Yurt and Bell tent rental, ’boutique camping’ and ‘glamping’ services at events throughout the UK. Fred uses Say it With Wood’s Sweet Chestnut to make the frames of his yurts.
Rooted Forest School provides inspiring grounds development and outdoor space design services for schools and nurseries across Herefordshire. They use local sustainable timber including our chestnut paling to create exciting outdoor learning environments for children.
New Leaf is a small charity working with people around Herefordshire to develop ways of saving energy and living more sustainably. They work with businesses, individuals, schools, community groups and local authorities, helping people to access the tools they need to facilitate, fund or structure their own sustainability and carbon reduction. Yorkshire Hurdles is a woodland management and craft business, run by partners Geoff Norton and Angela Cole. They manage forests in the traditional manner, extracting materials which are used for their range of products and services.
